The Council’s “Volunteer Services Division” is working on the region’s first ever 2008 educational conference. This event to be held May 8 - 10 at Hilton Washington, DC/Silver Spring will feature outstanding speakers, break-out sessions, fine food and hopefully great weather. The area providers have been requested to make modest donations to cover the Volunteer Division’s expenses in planning and coordinating such a large project. Attendance is expected to be in the 150 range.

All area providers that support the conference will be appropriately recognized.

The Human Resources Directors Division will begin this year’s “Personnel Data Package” with the 2008 Wage & Salary Survey Reports. They should be completed in the May/June timeframe. This will be supplemented with the “Hot Jobs” follow up surveys throughout the remainder of 2008. The Employee Benefits Survey is also scheduled for this fall.
