Asbury Methodist Village plans a $30 million expansion adding 43 duplexes and 59 garden apartments some with two-car garages and yards. Sales will begin in November with ground breaking in December. Construction in two phases will take about a year each. The Village houses 1,300 seniors in independent-living, assisted-living or skilled-nursing accommodations.
Children’s National Medical Center plans a move into the new ($175 million) east patient tower in November. The expansion gathers specialists in the same location with 140 newly done private patient rooms with private bathrooms and lots of color and new play areas and breakfast bars for parents—all state of the art.
