Congratulations to Walter Reed Army Medical Center’s Maj. Gen. Carla G. Hawley-Bowland, Commanding General North Atlantic Regional Medical Command and Walter Reed Medical Center. Walter Reed is celebrating 100 years! The army’s top noncommissioned officer, Sgt. Maj. Kenneth O. Preston, helped with the celebration by leading an early morning formation run!

Hospital auxiliary named citizens of the month! The Laurel Regional Hospital Auxiliary organization was named “Citizen of the Month” by the City Council members in April. Formed 36 years ago, 45,000 volunteer hours annually are used at the hospital. Way to go!

Brooke Grove Retirement Village also celebrated its 285 volunteers during National Volunteers Week with a special “Volunteers Appreciation Celebration” BGRV Administrator Patty Anderson recently added the role of Assisted Living Administrator to her responsibilities. Congrats!

Congratulations, Suburban Hospital President & CEO, and Past Council Board and Executive Committee Member, Brian Gragnolati. Mr. Gragnolati will chair the AHA’s Section of Metropolitan Hospitals.

Patricia K. DeBuck has been named VP of Development for Capital Hospice announced Malene Davis, Capital Hospice President & CEO. Congratulations, Ms. DeBuck!

The United Medical Center (formerly Greater Southeast Community Hospital) has made great strides recently opening a new wound healing center and adding a $1.3 million MRI.
