Congratulations to Kenneth Samet, recently promoted to MedStar Health’s President & CEO, replacing John McDaniel who announced his retirement in October 2006.

Michael J. Schwartz, President & CEO, of Prince William Health System recently became Chairman of the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association (VHHA), an awesome leader at the right time.

Sibley Memorial Hospital promoted Alison Arnott to Vice President, Support Services. Way to go, Alison!

Maj. Gen. Carla G. Hawley-Bowland has just assumed command of Walter Reed Army Medical Center. General Bowland has a history here completing an internship at Sinai Hospital and working at Fort Meade.

Congratulations to Council’s own General Counsel, Robby Brewer, Lerch, Early & Brewer. He has been selected for inclusion in the 2007-08 edition of “Best Lawyers in America”. We knew that.
