The Healthcare Council is an association of healthcare providers, schools and health-related institutions serving Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
The Healthcare Council is an organization of Providers of Care consisting of hospitals and allied health care facilities located in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC. The purpose of the Council is to provide for members “strategic and business advantages” that no single institution or system can efficiently or economically develop alone.
Membership
Membership is available for Hospitals, Healthcare Systems, Allied Health Providers including Home Care, Hospice, Comprehensive Care, Assisted Living Care, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Urgent Care Centers, and more.

ShareSource is the group purchasing (GPO) subsidiary corporation of the Healthcare Council. Through negotiation and competitive bidding, it develops contracts for goods and services used by the Council’s members.

Matthew F. McNulty Award
John Colmers, SVP, Health Care Transformation & Strategic Planning, Johns Hopkins Medicine has been selected to receive the 21st Annual McNulty Award for 2019.
The award will be presented on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in conjunction with the 8th Employees of the Year Awards for participating healthcare providers at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.
The event will honor 45+ honorees from area healthcare facilities.
